The story follows (Vin Diesel), a cynical mercenary hired to smuggle a mysterious young woman named Aurora (Mélanie Thierry) and her guardian, Sister Rebeka (Michelle Yeoh), from a Mongol monastery to New York City.

Because of this, two versions exist. The US theatrical cut is roughly 90 minutes, while the European/Extended cut is about 11 minutes longer and includes more character development and a different ending.
