The film opens with twin sisters, Sonia and Naina (both played by Kajol). Sonia is happily married, while Naina is a rebellious photojournalist. Their worlds shatter when a psychotic serial killer, Gokul Pandit (Ashutosh Rana), breaks into Sonia’s home, rapes her, and murders her.
