The fifth season of Prison Break premiered on April 27, 2017, and consisted of nine episodes. The new season takes place several years after the events of the fourth season and follows Michael Scofield, who has been presumed dead. However, he reappears in a post-apocalyptic world, where he must navigate a new reality and team up with old friends to take down a new enemy.
