As we made our way closer, the sound of rushing water grew louder, heightening our anticipation. And then, Gloryhole Swallow came into view. The sheer scale and beauty of this natural phenomenon took our breath away. The 'glory hole,' a massive drain-like structure that water from New Melones Lake flows into, creating a swirling whirlpool effect, was both captivating and humbling.
