Few modern action heroes capture the stoic, wandering justice of Lee Child’s literary creation quite like Jack Reacher. In 2016, Paramount Pictures released the sequel to the 2012 hit, titled . Directed by Edward Zwick and starring Tom Cruise as the titular 6’5” former military policeman (a casting choice that has always divided fans of the novels), the film promised gritty hand-to-hand combat, a conspiracy thriller plot, and the lonely, asphalt-humming atmosphere of Reacher’s transient life.
