Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan), an ex-naval officer haunted by guilt from a catastrophic naval incident, works as a coal miner at a dangerous site after being ostracized for a past mistake. When a mine collapse endangers workers, internal corruption and corporate negligence are exposed. The film follows the miners’ struggle for survival, Vijay’s path to redemption, and interpersonal relationships among the ensemble cast.
