The film is set in the 1970s, during the Vietnam War era. A team of scientists, soldiers, and adventurers embark on an expedition to a remote island in the Pacific, known as Skull Island. The team is led by Bill Randa (Hiddleston), a renowned scientist and explorer, who is determined to uncover the secrets of the island. However, they soon discover that the island is home to a legendary monster, Kong, a giant ape.
