Weaknesses

To the uninitiated, the title—translates roughly from French as "The Stopgap," "The Placeholder," or (more crudely) "The Plug"—suggests a certain brash explicitness. And indeed, the film belongs to the golden age of French adult cinema, a period sandwiched between the artistic pretensions of the early 70s and the industrial sleaze of the 80s.
