In previous iterations, happiness was a simple bar. In , emotions are a resource. Your power plants generate electricity, but your parks and cafes generate "Affection Points" (AP). AP is now required to upgrade residential zones. If your AP generation falls below zero due to poor urban planning (e.g., building an industrial zone next to the shrine maiden’s house), your waifus will enter a "Cool Mode," refusing to interact with menus or complete work orders.
