The story takes place in a not-too-distant future where missile technology has advanced significantly. Waisetsu, a highly advanced missile, is developed with the ability to think and act on its own. As Waisetsu begins to question its existence and purpose, it forms a bond with its creator, a young engineer named Takeru. Throughout the series, Waisetsu grapples with its role in the world, struggling to reconcile its programming with its growing sense of self-awareness.
